A word from the director
Sustainable Materials Science Research Center (SusMat-RC) is a multidisciplinary research center dedicated to advancing research and innovation in the field of sustainability.
Our center is engaged in the development of advanced biobased products and materials, using biotechnological, physical, and chemical conversion strategies, as well as engineering processes, while understanding and controlling their underlying specific functionalities and the structure-properties relationship acting over multiple length scales from the molecular, nano to the macro level and their cross-interactions.
At SusMat-RC, we are dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge and applying it to address key technological challenges, not only in Morocco but across the African continent. Through our work, we aim to assist in the transition towards a green and circular economy, developing solutions that promote sustainability, resource efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
We are very proud of the work we do, from contributing to the preservation of vital resources to exploring the potential of biomass, and we continue to push the boundaries of science to foster a more sustainable world.
